Glue Rat Board

Glue traps, also known as glue boards or sticky traps, are a popular and widely used device for controlling rodent and insect pests. Their design is deceptively simple: typically consisting of a flat cardboard with an extremely strong, non-drying adhesive. Often, a scent or food attractant is added to the center to lure pests onto the sticky surface.
The principle of operation is purely mechanical. When a rodent or insect steps onto the tray, it becomes immediately ensnared. The more the creature struggles, the more entangled it becomes, eventually leading to immobilization. This mechanism offers several distinct advantages. Firstly, they are inexpensive to manufacture and purchase, making them accessible for both household and commercial use. Secondly, they are easy to deploy; they can be placed flat in areas of high pest activity, such as along walls, behind appliances, or in attics and basements. Unlike poison baits, glue traps do not involve chemicals, eliminating the risk of secondary poisoning to pets or wildlife that might consume a poisoned rodent. Furthermore, they provide clear evidence of a capture, allowing users to monitor the severity of an infestation.
